Admissions

Would you like the chance to make a great first impression by being one of the first associates our guests encounter?  Successful Admissions Associates love to interact with guests and provide information about the park, can quickly and accurately handle money, and enjoy starting our guests’ visit off with a smile.  Admissions Associates have the opportunity for advancement and gain a wide range of job experience, from computer and cash-handling knowledge to interpersonal skills.

 

Entertainment

Do you love the spotlight?  Whether it’s performing in one of our world-class shows, entertaining guests as a costumed character, ushering guests into our venues or working behind the scenes, these associates add a bit of magic to a day at the park!  Performers and stage technicians can add acting or technical accomplishments to their resume, while ushers and character cohorts gain valuable communication and hospitality experience.     

 

Finance

Do you have a knack for numbers?  Finance Cash Control Auditors ensure accurate and efficient balancing and reporting of revenues from all areas of the park.  They prepare and distribute start fund bags, then receive and count all of the deposits.  Cash Control is a great position for anyone interested in a career in accounting, economics or banking, or just a fun summer job for college students, teachers and retirees!  Applicants must be 18 years of age.

 

Safety & First Aid

Do you enjoy helping others?  Safety & First Aid Associates such as Emergency Medical Technicians, Fire/Safety Officers and Safety Coordinators provide essential emergency services to the park.  In addition, Dispatchers monitor all traffic on the park’s radio system and dispatch emergency personnel as needed. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and EMTs must have valid credentials.

 

Food Operations

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment?  Food Operations Associates prepare and serve a variety of unique meals, snacks and drinks that keep our guests refreshed and ready for fun. With multiple opportunities for advancement and training in a solid growth industry, come secure your future with Food Operations!

 

Games

Do you love the thrill of competition?  Games Associates have an outgoing personality, are confident attracting guests to their game using microphones and sales techniques, can accurately handle money and (best of all) love to play while they work!  A position in Games offers opportunity for advancement and builds great interpersonal skills, business experience and marketing talents.

 

Human Resources

Would you like to share your positive attitude and passion for Great America with applicants and associates?  From coordinating with departments to recruit and hire quality associates, to supporting and rewarding employees, successful Human Resources Representatives can add administrative, HR, leadership and marketing experience to their resumes.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Lifeguard

Do you love the idea of looking out for our guests while spending summer by the pool?  Candidates do not need to be certified to apply, but must be capable swimmers.  Lifeguards learn First Aid, CPR, and water rescue skills that will be valuable for a lifetime, plus have fun doing it!  Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

 

Marketing

Are you a people person?  Marketing Associates provide information and assistance to guests in person at Guest Relations or via phone through our call center.  If you’re a problem-solver, would like to learn everything our park has to offer and have great communication skills, this could be the opportunity for you!  Positions in Marketing can build a solid foundation for customer service and public relations careers.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Merchandise

Do you love to sell, sell, sell?  Merchandise Associates interact personally with our guests, learn sales techniques to recommend purchases, and quickly and accurately handle cash.  Advancement opportunities are available as well.  Merchandise offers a fun work environment and the opportunity to add retail experience, interpersonal skills and sales expertise to your list of accomplishments! 

 

Park Services

Are you an active person who enjoys the outdoors?  Park Services Associates maintain the cleanliness of the park and, due to their visibility to guests, often function as mobile information centers!  This is a great position for someone who is self-motivated, thrives in a team environment and likes to interact with others. 

 

Resale

Can you multitask?  Resale Office Associates provide necessary administrative support to the Food Operations, Games and Merchandise departments by answering phones and routing calls, using computers to maintain records, and assisting guests and associates in person and over the phone.  If you’re looking to enhance your administrative skills and learn about the park, this is the position for you!  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 

 

Ride Operations

Would you like to help our guests have fun and stay safe?  Ride operators are energetic, detail-oriented people who enjoy the challenge of moving crowds in a safe and efficient manner. This is a great job for those seeking a fast-paced team environment, advancement opportunities and daily interaction with park guests, or have an interest in engineering, hospitality or recreation careers.  Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

 

Security

Are you firm yet tactful in handling difficult situations?  Security Associates protect park property and ensure the safety of guests and associates by screening personal belongings brought into the park, patrolling the grounds and directing traffic in the parking lot.  A Security position at Great America can form a great foundation for a career in law enforcement or security.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Warehouse

Are you an active person who enjoys hands-on work?  The Food Operations, Games and Merchandise Warehouses receive supplies from vendors and ensure prompt, safe delivery to park locations, while monitoring inventory levels and protecting against loss.  Evening, overnight and clerical positions are sometimes available in these areas as well.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
